Hot sauce junkies, heat connoisseurs and spiciness fanatics: We’ve got something we think you’ll enjoy.
Introducing our new Hot Sauce of the Month features. Each month we’ll be bringing you fresh stories on a different sauce brand, sharing some flavor insights, stories behind the brands and more. Travel with us on an adventure consisting of varying degrees of heat each month!
First up: Horseshoe Brand!
Founded in 2008, Horseshoe Brand produces all-natural, handcrafted hot sauces and barbeque sauces in New York’s Hudson Valley. The idea to start a hot sauce company stemmed from the lifelong friendship of founders Ken Millett and Ryan Fleischhauer. Since beginning their spicy venture a decade ago, Horseshoe Brand has evolved into unique crafter of heated sauces, including their new barbeque sauces!
Horseshoe’s sauces pack finger lickin’ flavors into each bottle. Enjoy the sweet and smoky Maple Cayenne hot sauce, made with Hudson Valley maple syrup, or tear up from an intense drop of their Habanero hot sauce, made using infamously scorching habanero peppers. If you prefer a walk on the mild side, shake up a little Kiwi Jalapeno or Peach hot sauce.
How much heat can you handle?
For those with a mild heat tolerance: Horseshoe’s Peach, Kiwi Jalapeno and Roasted Garlic hot sauces throw a good amount of heat at you with fairly low intensity.
For those with a more advanced heat tolerance: Horseshoe’s Caribbean hot sauce has a unique tropical-inspired flavor with a satisfying amount of heat.
For those who consider themselves Heat Heavyweights: Horseshoe’s Habanero hot sauce is your ticket. Plenty of flavor with an intensely-hearty helping of heat!
Find Horseshoe sauces in the condiment section at your local Price Chopper or Market 32, and read more about Horseshoe Brand on their website.
Turn up the heat this winter, and tune in next month for our February Hot Sauce of the Month!
